Gary Cliett creates all of the paper sculptures that you see on this site. He is a self-taught artist residing in Northern Florida. Gary studied graphic design at the University of Florida where he also played football. He started his career in the art department at Coca-Cola in Atlanta, GA. He moved to Florida with his family and worked in the publishing arena for a number of years with the Florida Chamber of Commerce and Homes & Land magazine. For the past 12 years, Gary ran his own graphics company called Cliett Creative Group where he and other artists designed packaging and promotional materials for a number of clients, including Flowers Baking Company.
In his free time, Gary began playing with the art of paper sculpture and now creates all of his pieces with simply a knife and good-quality paper. He patiently makes the intricate cuts and layers each piece to build the beautiful pieces that you see here....although they are certainly more impressive to see in person!
